A few minutes from Saint-Bresson, in the heart of the high-Saonoîse forest, Catherine and Yves welcome you in their authentic cottage in the wilderness. A cosy and welcoming nest is waiting for you. Upon entering the premises, you feel this warm atmosphere, pledge of good family vacation or friends. You can nearby, indulge in sports activities or come relax in our charming little village surrounded by forests, meadows, not to mention the many bodies of water.

Nestled in the greenery, the boards the Pit is a charming making advantage of the commune of Saint Bresson. A somewhat thankless nature, the inhabitants were able to take advantage of natural resources that were available to them: the water and stone.

An authentic and welcoming nature

Water fostered yet prosperous agricultural activity and a now defunct textile industry. The man used the stone to build farms to Chari at the roof of lavas and to express his devotion by building of many calvaries and chapels. the great forests, meadows, ponds, and bogs indicate a rich and well-preserved environment. On the tourist route of the Chandran, Saint-Bresson is a step that will seduce you with its hospitality, its activities, its heritage and its pleasant hiking trails.

A bit of history...

Summits (summus in latin) it plunges into the breach (bresson in Celtic); This is the Valley of Summus Bresson which by language deformation will then become SimBresson. The inhabitants (the Coboyots) seeking a patron Saint for their village then adopted St Brice and called their village Saint-Bresson.

Saint-Bresson is a village nestled at the foot of the plateau of thousand ponds. To get there, you need to know to leave the beaten track of mass tourism. There's something peaceful eternelet in these glacial moraine abandoned in the middle of meadows, in these huge quiet forests, in these cross at each road junction. Saint-Bresson, is a kind of campaign in the countryside. Those who take the time to discover the beautiful landscapes of the Vosges Saônoises govern with them the memory of an ocean of greenery also based that toning.

We came at the beginning of August and the time was lacking to us to give you our impressions! For us, it was a delicious moment of well-being in a modern and authentic holiday cottage, in the middle of a clearing lined with big trees! We sometimes perceived roe deers. We discovered with happiness during hikes a sometimes mysterious and secret protected region, sometimes opened on vast landscapes, always livened up by farms, by forests and by ponds of course. Our hosts were just like their country: sincere and warm. We were particularly affected by the family welcome which was reserved for us and we are anxious to thank them without forgetting the grandmother so true and generous. C and K.

Magnificent holiday cottage in the middle of nowhere The holiday cottage is very beautiful and functional. Just parking lot in front of the entrance. Corner television mansard-roofed in the very pleasant floor. The owners are very welcoming and tempted us to return. A wood stove will be one more for the atmosphere of the holiday cottage but I think that it is planned. Magnificent region to be discovered! Thank you Pierre.

Havre de Paix. As last year, we opted for a second stay at Planche le Pit, with always the same excellent welcome and a gite always as clean and well maintained and equipped with everything that is necessary to spend a pleasant time.
